Liberals, Progressives and Socialist Win the day in Lansing with the Medicaid Expansion Passage

Medicaid Expansion

One has to wonder what went on in those smoke filled back rooms leading up to the passage of right to work. What kind of deals were struck with the Union Bosses is anybody’s guess but with the recent proposed and passed legislation one has to think some heavy duty political horse trading went on.

Since the right to work was passed into law we have many pieces of legislation that should not have been passed under Republican control. Take the autism legislation as but one such example which falls under the “Hillary Clinton liberal mentality of it takes a village”. This legislation was introduced in 2007 by state representative Kathy Angerer a Monroe Democrat and was soundly defeated by the Republicans under Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop’s watch.

2007 House Bill 5527: Impose autism treatment insurance mandate Introduced by Rep. Kathy Angerer (D) on December 4, 2007, to impose a new coverage mandate that would require Blue Cross Blue Shield to include in all their health care insurance policies coverage for treatments related to autism, without requiring any dollar limit, deductible or co-pay for these that does not apply to other disorders.

Fast forward to 2012

2012 Senate Bill 981: Authorize autism-mandate insurance company subsidies Public Act 101 of 2012 Introduced by Sen. Randy Richardville (R) on February 23, 2012, to authorize state subsidies to health insurance companies to compensate for the new coverage mandate proposed by Senate Bills 414 and 415, which would require them to include autism coverage in all their policies. The bill does not specify where the money would come from. But we all know where the money will come from don’t we, that’s right, we the taxpayers! Does anybody really think these insurance companies will not pass this extra cost burden onto every rate payer in the state of Michigan?

While the good governerd is on one of his trips to China lieutenant governor Brian Calley signs this legislation into law and by the way he also has skin in this game because he has a daughter with autism. Calley even had the nerve as to send me an email addressing me as Fellow Conservative. You Mr. Calley are NO Conservative!

Michigan Senate Passes Medicaid Expansion
This is bigger than right-to-work and it will definitely split the already fractured party that was evident at the last MIGOP state convention over the re-election of a known Socialist Democrat contributor as chairman and the Conservatives. Grassroots and Tea Party faithful will retaliate by withholding their support in the upcoming 2014 election and rightfully so for this passage is not in keeping with the Republican Party ideology.

The 20-18 vote, which paved the way for Michigan to become the 24th state to approve a broadened Medicaid program, came after hours of political horse trading. A key moment came when Sen. Tory Rocca, a Sterling Heights Republican, switched his allegiance to Gov. Snideholm’s progressive plan. But in the end, the deciding vote was cast by GOP Sen. Tom Casperson of Escanaba after a Senate recess, Casperson switched his vote to “yes” after securing an amendment at that point the “deal” was done! Click the link below to see how they voted.

What did the MIGOP membership think when they elected a Socialist Democrat contributor as their chairman? Oh yea but he can raise all that money! Well, how’s that working out for the Conservatives and Grassroots of the MIGOP? Not so good I’d say! Next up a new “Gas Tax” and “Vehicle Registration Fee” increase! Hold onto your wallets folks the cost of living is going up.

Medicaid Expansion: Who Does Your Republicans Really Represent?

RR & Brandenburg

The Michigan Republican Party Conservative Base, the Grassroots Membership and the Tea Party faithful have made it crystal clear “NO” form of ObamaCare including any type of big government expansion intruding into our lives’!

It is plain and simple that the MIGOP only wants “you” to suit up, show up, shut up, cast your vote for them and volunteer for their elections and re-elections because they know what’s best for you, your family and the citizens of this state.

The activist in this state thought they had this defeated not once, not twice but three times and it looks as though this big government intrusion will be forced upon the citizens of Michigan if Governor Rick Snyder and Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville have their way!

Richardville said in June he doesn’t want to allow a vote on the expansion unless at least half of his members are on board. But now it’s August and he’s changed his tune!

Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, has signaled he is prepared to break the internal caucus policy that a majority of the ruling party is in favor of a bill before a vote is taken. “We’ve done that before,” Richardville said in an interview with The Detroit News.

Sen. Jack Brandenburg said he hopes Richardville doesn’t go against the wishes of fellow Republicans who oppose expanding Medicaid a major component of President Barack Obama’s health care law.

“When it comes right down to it, it’s the most un-Republican thing we could do,” said Brandenburg, R-Harrison Township. “I’m not trying to make this sound like a campaign speech” Oh really?

Lets see wasn’t it ‘ole “High Level Thug” Jack Brandenburg who stood in support of Richardville in a special Senate Caucus meeting for Richardville’s infidelity that caused the divorce from his wife of some 30 plus years! Oh the webs they weave when it comes to their feeding spot at the public trough! Richardville is term limited and Brandenburg is up for re-election. Hmmm…

By the way from the blogs I’ve read from around the Internet it would seem the Jackster has had issues within the infidelity arena his own self but that’s just a question only those who have written about it can answer!

These same articles talk about his shady campaign dealings down in Ohio something about giving the mailman a bottle of Whiskey to stuff mail boxes with campaign literature but again that’s just a question only those who have written about it can answer to.

State Senate candidate Jack Brandenburg accused of posing as reporter, asking about oral sex

Jennifer Gratz went on to suggest that Brandenburg has a history of duplicitous behavior and vulgar language.  Specifically, she said Brandenburg prank called her in January of 2006 and pretended to be a reporter for our very own Booth Newspapers, failing to block his number from her caller ID. After asking several “semi-informed” questions about the MCRI, he allegedly ended the call by asking her, “How do you feel about oral sex?”

Conservatives call on Richardville to step down over alleged affair

As for Jack Brandenburg speaking on behalf of the Republican caucus about alleged sexual improprieties, if the Tea Party were as familiar with his own alleged sexual improprieties as much as they claim to be over Richardville’s, they’d be calling for the entire caucus to disband and agree to move to other states.

But fear not whether this expansion passes or not the “sheeple” Republicans will cast their vote for the less of two evils come 2014 and keep the status quo in place, and with that nothing will ever change!

The only thing politicians and parties understand is winning and losing so the only way to get Conservative representation is to withhold your vote as to force change. Then and only then will we as a people get the representation that we expect and deserve!
