Is Political Billboard off I-75 & Front Street in Monroe County Voter Deception?
While driving southbound on I-75 I noticed a billboard on the west side of the freeway just before the Front Street exit that proclaims Senator Randy Richardville as conservationist of the year for 2011 voted by the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC). To anyone driving 70 miles an hour at a glance some may think he was voted “conservative” of the year which is the farthest thing from the truth as his voting record would indicate. Being as a re-call attempt is in progress for Mr. Richardville this is a clever deception as to deceive voters!

Curiosity got the best of me so I went to the MUCC web site and there was no mention of this award for 2011 for Mr. Richardville. I also searched in their 2011 MUCC Awards Convention meeting minutes and only found that he was named in 2005, the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) named Randy their “Conservation Legislator of the Year in 2005 only.” The Michigan United Conservation Clubs recently honored Sen. Joe Hune, R-Hamburg Township, as its 2011 Conservationist of the Year. This appears to be a clever way to misdirect information to the voters? Why would this organization allow their name to appear on this billboard if in fact this is a deception on Mr. Richardville’s part as to deceive the voting public? Has there been legislation in the past benefiting this organization by Senator Richardville?

Who paid for this “Billboard Advertisment”, MUCC or the Richardville committee? Looks a lot like the recent “Photo-Op” in the Monroe Evening News that I wonder who paid for that advertisment as well. To read the article see Building Goodwill or how to get “Recognition” during a Re-Call” in The “Bain Report” Articles that Affect You and Your Family for Monday, August, 15, 2011 second article. Mr. Richardville is a crafty career politician who knows how to play the political game in “his favor” with a blatant disregard of the wishes of the very voters who elected him to represent them!

State Legislative Committee Meets to Tour Proposed Bridge Sites
The state Senate Economic Development Committee briefly convened an official meeting in the parking lot of a Michigan Welcome Center in southwest Detroit on Monday as its members prepared to tour the proposed site of a new international bridge across the Detroit River. Gov. Rick Snyder is pushing hard for the new bridge, and votes on two bills introduced by Senator Randy Richardville to create a public authority to oversee its construction are expected in the Legislature this fall. The bridge is to be privately financed, built and managed, but publicly owned and overseen by a public authority. One of those bills SB 411 will ultimately rob funds specifically allocated and designated for our roads! Government should not be competing with the private business sector using taxpayer monies in a free market society.

Michigan Film Subsidy Winner Costs 10 Times More to Make Than It Earns
And the winner is – The Film Producers! The losers – Michigan Taxpayers! When advocates of the Michigan film tax incentives said the 42 percent subsidy would attract moviemakers, “House of the Rising Sun” was likely not what they had in mind. Filmed in Grand Rapids, the movie is based on a novel that was set in New Orleans. It has made only $100,000 in DVD/Blu-ray sales, but got about $435,000 from Michigan taxpayers.

Super Speedway Perks Live On – State Tax Credits to MIS Total $18.1 Million
On the heels of the one big race that MIS has per year, “The Pure Michigan 400” which by the way is sponsored in part by the “Pure Michigan Advertising Campaign”! Not only is Michigan’s taxpayers paying for picking winners and losers in the business community some of those same tax dollars sponsored this race as well. Michigan taxpayers have doled out $18.1 million in special tax credits to Michigan International Speedway over the past three years. See Super Speedway Notches Second State Subsidy The  Michigan Economic Development Corporation paid $972,500 for the one-year sponsorship deal to name this years race the “Pure Michigan 400” in which this money came from the Pure Michigan Advertising Camapign fund at taxpayer expense. And MIS already qualifies for tax credits through the Michigan business tax since 2007. The state reimburses the racetrack for every dollar it spends on infrastructure improvements on areas such as the infield or the grandstand area. The state estimates this will be $1.2 million for 2011.

MIS is conveniently located in Senate District 17 which is represented by current Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, R-Monroe. In 2010, the NASCAR Speedway Credit was extended through 2016 with Richardville voting in favor of every time this legislation came up through the years for a vote! It’s no wonder with the perks he receives such as the trip to the “Daytona Race” paid in part by MIS, the International Speedway Corp. (ISC) that owns the MIS and other tracks, Condo accommodations were provided! (See “Panel OKs MIS Tax Credit,” as reported by Michigan Information & Research Service Inc. (MIRS) 11/12/08 subscription required . Senator Randy Richardville (R) and his Democrat buddy, Representative Mark Corriveau (D) were the recipients of this lobbying effort for more “Michigan Taxpayer Dollars” as they attended the Daytona 500 that year.

Time To Stop Fooling Around “Leader” Richardville
The schizophrenic nature of our state government comes as no surprise.
Republicans who have been around and ‘know better’ are in the positions of
power and are no wiser than the Democrats who have just been given the boot.
Creatures accustomed to things done a certain way are hardly the agents of
change Michigan so desperately needs.

Led by “squishy moderate” Randy Richardville, Senate Republicans have always
been suspect as a reform ally. And their counter-proposal is a retreat from
their mandate for change. Rather than pushing their governor – who has
courageously offered a new direction – to be even more aggressive on tax
reform and bloated union benefits, the GOPers backslide towards
politics-as-usual higher taxes and special interest loopholes.

Washtenaw County GOP calls on Snyder, Richardville to pass Right to Work Law
Republicans in Gov. Rick Snyder’s own backyard are urging the GOP chief executive, state Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, R-Monroe, and other area legislators to support enactment of a state Right to Work law that would protect employees from being forced to join or pay dues to a labor union as a condition of employment. The Washtenaw County Republican Executive Committee Thursday night — by vote — adopted a resolution proposed by the Willow Run Tea Party Caucus saying a Right to Work law will “guarantee individual freedom of choice and help attract and create new jobs in Michigan.” Senator Richardville has been quoted that he doesn’t support Right to Work for Michigan! I guess he wouldn’t with all the campaign contributions and support he has received through the past 10 years to his political campaign from the Unions according to the Secretary of State campaign finance web site!

Clark Durant launch’s campaign for U.S. Senate seat held by Debbie Stabenow
Three Republican heavyweights former state GOP chairwoman Betsy DeVos, former U.S. Sen. Spence Abraham and GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis last week urged Durant to enter the race. “I was very touched by the letter that went out  on Thursday asking me to get into the campaign,” Durant said. “I’ve been getting emails and phone calls, and I’ve been getting them, quite frankly, from people across all spectrums of political persuasion. Because people are tired of government as usual. They want some people coming from the outside.” Unlike Pete Hoekstra true conservatives now have a Republican they can get behind! Quite frankly Hoekstra isn’t that much different from Stabenow and the true conservatives, tea party faithful, and independents would not have supported Hoekstra.

Bank of America to Cut Thousands of Jobs
This is the Banksters way of saying thank you to the American taxpayers for the bailouts! But rest assured that the banks shooters will be taken care of. For those of you taxpayers worried about Ken Lewis’ financial well-being since his announcement on Wednesday night that he was stepping down as Bank of America’s CEO, rest easy: he’s set to walk away with a $53 million pension plan. Fortune reports that this money will come from a pension plan, frozen years ago, that awarded certain top executives with extra benefits. That $53 million isn’t all Lewis will be walking away with — in addition to retirement benefits, there are millions in accumulated stock and other compensation.

Audit Finds Questionable Purchases by Michigan’s Welfare Department
A lack of financial controls resulted in millions of dollars in questionable purchases by Michigan’s welfare department, according to a state audit released Tuesday. accounting system found state workers used taxpayer money to buy the workers’ cars for welfare clients and to buy hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards. The audit also showed the same state employees in many cases created invoices, processed invoices and then approved the checks to pay the invoices.

Opinion By R. Al Bain
I received my first request from a person I thought was a true “Patriot” and a member of a Michigan group advocating freedom, liberty, limited government, and a subscriber of the “Bain Report” to be removed from the weekly mailing list! His reason is as follows: I rarely read it and when I do I feel your bias is not in my interests. I thought he was a Patriot? Does any of the many subscribers of the “Bain Report” see anything that has been published that may have sparked this request? If the True Conservatives, Patriots, and Activist are dividing on ideology and the common goal of the limited role government plays in our lives am I wasting my time and efforts as to inform and educate?

The articles that are published weekly are an accumulation of news from various news publications and not necessarily written by the author of the “Bain Report”. The only thing in the reports that are of the author is the opinion at the beginning of these reports. As stated up front, first and foremost of every publication is that The “Bain Report” is a weekly publication for those citizens of Michigan who are concerned with the representation they are receiving from their elected officials. The purpose of this report is to educate and inform the citizens with pertinent articles and legislation that affect the family’s of Michigan.

The whole movement has been high jacked by the Republican Party and those who would call themselves “Patriots” have drank the kol-aid and have been given positions within the local parties to satisfy their thrust! It reminds me of the movie with Mel Gibson (The Patriot) when one of their own was ordered to burn the Church with all the towns people in it, same thing with these folks! This individual has been given such a position in the South Oakland Republican Party! He sure has changed his tune since I went to a function a few years back in Southfield when Bob Schulz from (Give Me Liberty) was there to speak at this person’s request!

While this is the first and only request for removal so far with the many requesting adding them to the “Bain Report” I find this very troubling!

A Bridge Too Far – Snyder Back Dooring
MIRS is reporting that the Snyder administration is looking at several “back door” options, one is to rewrite State Trunkline Act (Public Act 51) giving more authority to MDOT to cut a deal with Canada. Wait a minute, isn’t (Public Act 51) the excuse given as to why are roads cannot be fixed because that Act ties the legislature’s hands? Several times in recent past that’s just the excuse that Senator Randy Richardville has been quoted in the newspapers, candidate forums, and I believe the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce was told this in a speech! If private enterprise want to built the Bridge at no cost to taxpayer and without sticking Michigan’s hand in the debt ridden, springs attached Federal government cookie jar that I say let Capitalism work!!

Not All in GOP love Pete Hoekstra
Lacking a front-runner for months, many in the Republican establishment finally convinced former U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra of Holland to jump into the race after he had already decided to skip it.Betsy DeVos, former U.S. Sen. Spencer Abraham and Michigan’s Republican national committeeman Saul Anuzis, sent a letter to state Republicans urging them to support charter school executive Clark Durant, who isn’t officially in the race yet. Though they didn’t mention Hoekstra in the letter, they did say Durant was not a Washington insider, code for he’s different than Hoekstra, who spent nearly two decades in Congress.

Michigan Lawmakers Prove Part-Time Legislature Viable
State lawmakers proved this year that they could make government work and make it work quickly. If their success is commendable, it also revives an issue that so far isn’t very high on their priority list: a part-time legislature. The idea is intriguing, and it resonates with Michigan voters. Many have grown weary of big government and the considerable compensation state lawmakers and their staffs receive for full-time work. GOP lawmakers control Michigan’s House and Senate. This is their opportunity to practice what they preach. Randy Richardville, the Senate majority leader opposes a part-time legislature because he’s all about “bigger government”!

Yet Another Monroe Business Shut’s Down, More to Come?

Monroe County Historical Museum wants to Levy a Tax on Citizens
Here we go again! Recession, Depression, Population Flight, Double Digit Unemployment, Job Losses, Home Foreclosures, Monroe Businesses Closing, now the Monroe County Historical Society wants yet more taxes from the already overburdened taxpayers! They were given one year to come up with a self sustainable source of income to run the Museum with the taxpayers footing the bill charging property owners a .06-mill tax using an obscure 1913 law (Public Act 88) and the best they can come up with is, give us another year of taxpayer money! Personally I said “NO” the first time and I say “ABSOULUTLEY NOT” with this request! If Hobby Nels (Historical Commission Chairman) were to have his way a permanent tax for the museum would be bestowed upon the already overburdened taxpayer’s! I think this commission needs to look for a new chairman! Have them contact John Dingell for the money so he can continue his “Photo-Op’s”.

Box Office Bombs: Made in Michigan at Taxpayer Expense
Many films are getting more money from Michigan taxpayers than they are at the theaters! “The Genesis Code,” a film shot in Michigan put Michigan’s taxpayers are on the hook for $1.74 million in the form of a tax subsidy reimbursement to help offset the $4.5 million that filmmakers spent in the state while shooting. A review of the movies awarded $1 million or more in tax subsidies listed in the 2009 Michigan Film Office annual report found that six of those seven movies received more in subsidies than they made up at the box office in U.S. theaters.

What has America become?
Has American become the land of the double standard? Lets see: if we lie to the Congress, it’s a felony and if the Congress lies to us its just politics; if we dislike a black person, we’re racist and if a black person dislikes whites, its their 1st Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims; in public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a mass murderer; we don’t burn books in America, we now rewrite them; we got rid of communist and socialist threats by renaming them progressive; we are unable to close our border with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest against President Obama’s policies you’re a terrorist, but if you burned an American flag or George Bush in effigy it was your 1st Amendment right.

Fire Sales Dilute SE Michigan Home Values
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are selling hundreds perhaps thousands of foreclosed properties in metro Detroit for far less than they appear to be worth, a practice that local leaders say is driving down property values and weakening neighborhoods. Local officials blame the federal government which took control of Fannie and Freddie in 2008 at a cost to taxpayers of $141 billion and climbing for doing little to stop the fire sales.

Turkia Awada Mullin Bad Choice for next CEO of Metro Airport
Wayne County’s chief economic development officer, Turkia Awada Mullin, is expected to be recommended Tuesday as the next CEO of the board that oversees Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Why should this matter to the citizens of Wayne County and the State of Michigan? The authority, which hires the CEO, was created by the Legislature in 2002 in the wake of federal and state investigations into Wayne County’s management of the airport and questionable construction contracts for the $1.2 billion McNamara Terminal.

Turkia Awada Mullin brokered the failed deal for Pinnacle Race Course that ended up costing taxpayers and also has ties to the scandals involving Allied Capital Corp. which invests in entrepreneurial companies. The Feds handed down fraud charges involving its Business Loan Express unit, one of the country’s largest SBA lenders. See Your Tax Dollars at Work.  Also there was the Macomb Circuit Court Case  involving shady dealings with this same company. If approved, Mullin would replace Lester Robinson, who was ousted by the seven-member authority in May 27, 2010.

Former authority member James Nicholson accused Ficano’s office of orchestrating Robinson’s ouster at the time in a “plainly political maneuver.” The situation is a bid by Ficano to reassert county control over the airport in a bid to capture its revenue, Nicholson said. The authority and its CEO also oversee nearby Willow Run Airport in Van Buren Township. The CEO handles day-to-day oversight of more than 700 people and an annual operating budget of about $265 million. Has Mullin ever run an airport? Looks like a shady deal to this citizen.

Why should we citizens expect anything different out of Ed (Fast Eddie) McNamara’s political step children. McNamara, a Democrat, mentored members of the party in the state, including Jennifer Granholm, Mike Duggan, Kwame Kilpatrick, Bob Ficano, and allegedly former state attorney general Republican Mike Cox! The political corruption runs deep in Detroit and Wayne County and I don’t know if the Feds will ever get to the bottom of this rabbit hole?

Don’t be fooled by the moderate left leaning liberal Republicans running for office who claim to be conservative and champion the views of the “Tea Party” movement for support. All one has to do is a little research to see right through them!

Michigan Film Subsidy: Michigan’s Business Comedy
“How to Lower Your Michigan Business Liability and Win an Oscar While You’re At It”
This is a must see short video by State Representative Chuck Moss explaining the failed film producers subsidies at taxpayer expense. I guess Senator Richardville must have missed his colleagues pre-release screening. I say that because Mr. Richardville recently introduced new legislation on July 13, 2011 Senate Bill 569 to revise the state film incentive program, converting it into a straightforward subsidy program rather than an indirect one, with awards of up to 30 percent of the expenses a film producer incurs in Michigan. Reportedly the bill’s sponsor wants to increase the subsidies from $25 million already appropriated in 2012 to $100 million annually.

Building Goodwill or how to get “Recognition” during a Re-Call
In the community section of the Monroe Evening News Saturday, August, 6, 2011 edition page 4B, a quarter page story and “Photo-Op” titled “Building Goodwill” it was all about Senator Randy Richardville. A photo op is an opportunity to take a memorable and effective photograph of a politician, a celebrity, or a notable event.

The term was coined by the administration of US President (I am not a crook) Richard Nixon. Even Jimmy Carter doesn’t deem it necessary to display his name when building homes for Habitat for Humanity. At least you see Jimmy with a hammer in his hand or actually working. Note the pictures, I can’t seem to see Mr. Richardville working! But I do see him displaying his campaign sign front and center! Wasn’t the election in 2010?

Something doesn’t look right with this story and these pictures! Why would he be holding a campaign sign after being elected almost a year earlier? Is the newspaper playing games or was this an advertising scheme bought and paid for by the Richardville committee in an attempt to garner favor with the voters during this re-call campaign against him?

Earlier this summer, a group of activist got wind that Snyder and Richardville were going to appear at a Habitat for Humanity home for a “photo op”. The group gathered there but neither of them showed up so they left the signs in their vehicles as to not take anything away from the good work done by the many people who actually did do something good for the community not just for publicity purposes!

Deadline is Met in Recall Effort
State Rep. Paul Scott, R-Grand Blanc will be on the November ballot as a result of re-call efforts. Organizers of the drive against Scott filed 12,200 signatures with the Secretary of State on Friday, nearly 2,600 more than required to get on the ballot. The extra signatures provide a cushion if some of the names are deemed invalid. We can only hope that others targeted who truly deserve to be re-called will be?

Governor Snyder’s China Connections a Threat?
Interesting read. An American Company, NeoPhotonics, Morph’s into a Chinese Company. It was well publicized during the election that Rick Snyder moved Gateway Computer’s manufacturing to China along with thousands of jobs but those were today’s jobs. He has also given China technology, developed by American companies and Universities that will give China the edge to compete for tomorrow’s jobs and is helping China build a superpower military. Mr. Snyder’s cozy relationship with U of M President Mary Sue Coleman and revelations by a former University Professor exposing technology secrets given to China by the way of the University of Michigan may give credence to this story?

Many Local Leaders say Michigan on Wrong Track
After lawmakers cut their funding and gave financial managers sweeping new powers earlier this year, half of local government leaders now think Michigan is on the wrong track, according to a survey released Thursday. Only a third said it’s headed in the right direction, while a fifth were undecided. The county administrators, mayors, city managers, township supervisors and other leaders surveyed by The Center for Local, State and Urban Policy at the University of Michigan also gave Republican Gov. Rick Snyder and the GOP-controlled Legislature poor marks.

Hold onto your wallets taxpayers, here comes another failed transit system to go along with the mass transit bus system we already have! I believe that the so-called leaders here in Michigan are living in fantasy land. Michigan is broke, unemployment remains in double digits ranking in the top five in the country with the highest unemployment rate according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics released on July 22, 2011. Opinion: By R. Al Bain – Subsidies Cost Michigan Taxpayers Dearly

Under the guise of job creation and to lure or keep certain businesses here in Michigan we have taxpayer-funded subsides. If a business can’t make it on its own why should we the taxpayers help fund it when we don’t share in the profits? Picking winners and losers in the business community is not the way of a free market society. A social and economic system in which prices are fixed by the law of supply and demand rather than by a government or other body. In its pure form, a market economy is an economy absent of government subsidies, incentives, or regulations.

Just a few bad examples of Michigan subsidies created by our elected officials in Lansing, and there are many, would be, Film Producers, Pure Michigan Advertising, and Michigan International Speedway. There is no good reason or benefit to the taxpayers of Michigan to fund these aforementioned examples. The only benefit is to the companies who receive these subsidies and the Politicians who either introduce or vote in favor of the legislation. The subsidy benefits should be obvious in the taxpayers and voters eyes! What business owner wouldn’t want free money to run its business at someone else’s expense? Politicians get campaign contributions and support at election time.

For the few jobs created in Michigan by the Film Industry, when the director say’s cut they leave town and so do the few jobs along with them! For the Pure Michigan Advertising Campaign the industry that benefits the most wouldn’t fund this campaign for the return on investment just wasn’t there! I’ve saved the best for last! Our roads and infrastructure in Michigan are crumbling but the Michigan International Speedway get’s a taxpayer-funded subsidy for their infrastructure such as track resurfacing, pit’s and grandstands. How many races do they hold their a year? For those racing fans the price of the tickets you purchase is higher than you think! For those who don’t attend or give two hoot’s about racing, you’re paying for it anyway!

Next up on the subsidy list is the New International Bridge Crossing! I bet the taxpayers of Michigan can’t wait to see how our elected representatives put the spin on this subsidy!

“Richardville P.A.C.” Paying Recall Attorney Costs
As many Republicans have faced the potential of a recall, the caucus has enlisted Dykema attorney Gary Gordon to represent members with the caucus’s political action committee footing the bill. In regard to the recall against himself Mr. Richardville stated to the Monroe Evening News he would not contest or appeal the decision made by the Monroe County Board of Elections who approved the petition language! He stated that he would “let the voters have their right” to the political re-call process. I guess stacking the deck with high-priced Lansing Lawyers is different? The voting citizens at the grassroots level can’t afford attorney’s to help them out! Advantage, “Political Trough Feeders”! You can lead a horse to water but if he’s still thirsty you can’t pull his head out of the trough!

Richardville Favors Hollywood Filmmaker Friends Over Constituents
At a Michigan Film Advisory Commission meeting back on November 9, 2007 the minutes clearly show where Senator Richardville’s allegiances lie and it’s not with those who voted him into office! Another example worth looking at is the fact that Michigan Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville has been lobbied very hard by Nelson, Rakolta and the other partners. Richardville attended the Emmy’s on a trip arranged by Linden Nelson! See Michigan Film Credit Secrets. This is all about the buddy-buddy system and what can you do for me not the citizens Mr. Richardville is supposed to represent!

Gary Glenn Announces Candidacy for United States Senate
Now here’s someone we conservatives can get behind! The Michigan leader of the conservative American Family Association announced Tuesday that he is running for the Republican nomination in the race to unseat Democratic U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow. In a statement announcing his candidacy, Glenn praised U.S. Rep. Justin Amash of Cascade Township the only one of Michigan’s nine Republicans in Congress to vote against the debt ceiling bill, which President Barack Obama signed Tuesday. Stabenow voted for the bill. “Over the last 20 years, Debbie Stabenow and “Pete Hoekstra” have both voted for budgets and debt ceiling increases that resulted in trillions of dollars of increased debt on our economy and our children,” Glenn said.

Municipalities Collective Bargaining and Unfunded Pension Obligations
We have all read in the news about collective bargaining and unfunded pension obligations with the repercussions starting to come in. Central Falls, Rhode Island, a little town in the northeast part of the state, with a population of only has 19,376, has gone into Chapter 9 bankruptcy. Central Falls was second to Michigan, which lead the country with the highest unemployment rate in 2009. Is this a prelude of things to come for Michigan’s cities?

Governor Snyder Creates Yet More Bigger Government
At a time when Michigan government should and must be downsized Governor Snyder has announced the creation a state-run educational authority. Michigan is broke, the taxpayers are taxed to the hilt, we should be cutting government entities not creating new ones! Where will this money come from to run this new authority? I’ll tell you, the overburdened Michigan taxpayers that’s where!

Michigan Lawmakers New Tax Laws to Cost Taxpayers Dearly
The nonpartisan Citizens Research Council’s report says it expects a business tax cut will have a positive effect on business investment and Michigan’s reputation in the business community. But it sees potential pitfalls as “individual taxpayers” you and I, pick up the tab for higher income tax payments, reducing their ability to spend in ways that would spur the economy.

Green Bus Biz Fails: Government Planners Pick a Loser & Stick With It
Fisher Coach Works was a Michigan hybrid vehicle “green” start-up company that the state hoped to claim as one of the “success stories” for the state’s premier economic development program. Instead, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation lost taxpayers $1.6 million on the deal, but not until after an organization-wide effort to save the company. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation has proven to be a failed Michigan government program that should be eliminated!

Green Agenda has Parallels with Excesses of Communism
“Global warming alarmist `want to change us, they want to change our behaviour, our way of life, our values and preferences. They want to restrict our freedom because they themselves believe they know what is good for us. They are not interested in climate. They misuse the climate in their goal to restrict our freedom. Therefore …what is in danger is freedom, not the climate’. (The quote is from the Czech President and the article is primarily about him. Good to see at least one politician that will call a spade a spade.) This is a re-post from “Week in Review” By Craig W. Wright

Michigan Creeps Closer to Obamacare ‘Exchange’
If Michigan creates a state Obamacare insurance “exchange,” doing so could potentially undermine the state’s own lawsuit against the new federal health care law. Our legislators have already spent the $1 million federal grant authorized under the new law on other state spending. This is a common practice just like robbing money from our roads for other unspecified spending!
