Is the American Dream still Alive or is it Dead?

American Dream

There’s a reason education SUCKS, and it’s the same reason it will never, ever, EVER be fixed. It’s never going to get any better, don’t look for it. Be happy with what you’ve got.

That’s because the owners, the owners of this country, don’t want that. I’m talking about the real owners now, the BIG owners! The Wealthy… the REAL owners! You see the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions.

Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU.

They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought—and paid for—the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the kahunas.

They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want:

They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests.

That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting screwed by a system that threw them overboard 30 fricking years ago. They don’t want that!

You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money.

They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street—and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later because they own this fricking place! It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it! You, and I, are not in the big club.

By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long they beat you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted, folks.

The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care! Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue—these are people of modest means—continue to elect these rich public trough feeders who don’t give a shit about you.

They don’t care about you at all. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact is that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue shaft that’s being jammed up their backsides everyday, because the owners of this country know the truth.

It’s called the American Dream—because you have to be asleep to believe it. ~ George Carlin

House Cuts $25M State Film Subsidies in Proposed Budget – Not So Fast Say’s Richardville

Film Subsidies Scam the Scheme and the Players

The Republican lead House finally has done the right thing with these “failed” subsidies but Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville the Hollywood Fat Cat’s poison pill in the Senate to protect this taxpayer giveaway say’s not so fast!

The taxpayers in Michigan have already suffered a huge loss from these subsidies including having to pony up for the “failed” Raleigh Film Studio in Pontiac. Raleigh Film Studios have missed several bond payments and now the states under funded state pension fund had to cover these payments.

I’m sure that his daughter who is employed by these Hollywood Fat Cat’s along with the deal he cut according to an MIRS interview with Mr. Richardville to do a movie series or pilot on his time in the legislature has absolutely nothing to do with him wanting to keep this scheme going! Can you say conflict of interest?

In the article Richardville has the gall to use “Tax Happy” Illinois Governor Pat Quinn as an example of why we should keep these subsidies! Really? Didn’t Illinois just raise their states taxes through the roof forcing some residents and businesses to flee to neighboring states for tax relief? Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is a Democrat!!!

Senator Richardville’s past legislative actions by introducing and or sponsoring subsidies favoring private business interest that does not benefit all the citizens of Michigan is unconscionable. How in the world could his colleagues in the Senate continue to support his “failed” leadership? Does he have something on them?

Raleigh Michigan Studio Partners

Linden Nelson CEO of Raleigh Michigan Studios
The brain child of Michigan’s film credits is businessman and Democratic Party power broker Linden Nelson.

Nelson came up with the idea of film credits after getting to know then White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel as a result of contributing tens of thousands of dollars to the National Democratic Party and meeting Rahm at various DC political fundraisers.

Alfred Taubman of Taubman Centers Inc. real estate

John Rakolta Jr:  Rakolta is President of Walbridge, an international construction firm based in Detroit. His company built the Studio.

Ari Emanuel:  CEO of William Morris Endeavor Entertainment and a partner in the Pontiac film studio.  He is also the brother of former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel

Although the partners in the studio deal included one billionaire — Al Taubman and three multi millionaires — John Rakolta, Linden Nelson and Ari Emanuel — they preferred to have the taxpayers pay for the studio and incur any risks.

Since the movie credits and government funding for the studio were a product of an agreement between Governor Granholm and Rahm Emanuel — both of whom would soon occupy different roles — the deal had to include a “poison pill” such that any future governor would think twice about getting rid of the film credits and studio funding.

It means the taxpayer is on the hook for $18 million if the studio closes down. Former Governor Granhom and lawmakers put at risk $18 million in the State Employees Retirement System as a political payback.

Red Carpet Rolled Out for Randy Richardville
Michigan Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville has been lobbied very hard by Nelson, Rakolta and the other partners.

Richardville attended the Emmy’s on a trip arranged by Linden Nelson. He also went to a Red Wings game with Nelson in March.

While the majority of Republican legislators oppose further funding of the film credits and are outraged by the way the studio was funded with taxpayer money, Richardville is susceptible to “wooing” and is behind the scenes trying to help Nelson and this Gang rape the taxpayers of Michigan.

House Republicans Plan Shifts Film Tax Money to Road Repairs
The Republican-controlled state House wants to eliminate tax incentives for making movies in Michigan so the money can be shifted to repairing roads.

This all stated under Jennifer Granholm in 2008 with Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville onboard from the onset. Once Jenny left office ‘ole Randy keep it alive and well also introducing new legislation as to keep this scheme going. Jenny got her reward with the Current TV show The War Room with Jennifer Granholm as payment made for services rendered and it looks as though Richardville is looking for a similar payoff at the taxpayers expense!

2011 Senate Bill 383: Retain state film subsidy program Public Act 77 of 2011
Introduced by Sen. Mike Kowall (R) on May 12, 2011, to empower the state government film office to grant smaller tax break/subsidies less than the 42 percent of a producer’s Michigan expenses currently authorized by the state’s unlimited film subsidy program. The program will be replaced next year by $25 million appropriated by the Legislature to hand out to film producers.

2011 Senate Bill 569: Revise film subsidies Public Act 291 of 2011
Introduced by Sen. Randy Richardville (R) on July 13, 2011, to revise the state film incentive program, converting it into a straightforward subsidy program rather than an indirect one, with awards of up to 30 percent of the expenses a film producer incurs in Michigan. Reportedly the bill’s sponsor wants to increase the subsidies from $25 million already appropriated in 2012 to $100 million annually.

Opinion By R Al Bain

The GOP is trending on the side of “failure” at both the state and national levels and the question remains should the Conservatives and Tea Party faithful continue to support the parties continued move to the liberal left? I would suggest that a new more principled party be formed as it’s replacement.

The so-called leaders of both the national and state GOP parties refuse to listen to the Conservative base of the party and are continuing to move left along with the Democrats. As a voting Republican for over 35 years I am appalled at what my party has become.

If we Conservatives continue to support our parties move to the left what do we have? I’ll tell you, we will have a Democrat-Lite Party that isn’t at all much different from the liberal Democrats. While there are those who believe that the Conservative and Tea Party base can and will take over the GOP I think they are mistaken.

The only way for the establishment power brokers to change and adhere to the wishes of the base of the party is to hit them where it hurts and that’s at the ballot box. If we continue to cast our votes just because the establishment liberal candidates have an (R) after their name nothing will ever change.

The GOP has the voters right where they want them and that’s with fear and intimidation of, if you don’t vote Republican then you get the liberal Democrat. I say you get a liberal either way! Both major parties have become one in the same and it’s all a struggle for power between the two with complete and total disregard for the party members and “We the People” at large.

GOP Continues War on Conservatives – Tea Party
The war with the party’s old guard is not just limited to Michigan. Stories are coming in from all over the United States of “a kangaroo court-type proceeding orchestrated by long-time party bosses.” The power broker elitist of the GOP will continue with the “shenanigans” as to “purge” the Conservatives and Tea Party faithful.

It would appear that the old guard mentality of the GOP is that they must abandon their Principles and Moral Values and continue to move left along with the Democrats if they are to compete for seats as to win elections. Remember the only thing these GOP power brokers understand is winning and losing and they will use any and all tactics to achieve that goal.

Ex AG Mike Cox “Swings” on Gay Marriage, Joins Agema Attackers
The liberal wing of the MIGOP continues attacks on it’s Conservative and Tea Party base. Former Michigan AG “RINO” Mike Cox now supports same-sex marriages in the state, and thinks GOP leader Dave Agema should apologize for his posting on Facebook.

This all coming from a guy who was allegedly groomed and mentored for the political arena by Democrat Ed (Fast Eddie) McNamara along with Jennifer Granholm, Kawme Kilpatrick, Bob Ficano, Mike Duggan and host of others! They are all political step children of ‘ole Eddie and political brothers and sisters.

GOP Chairman’s Brother David Schostak Wins Court Ruling

When you have friends who can get laws passed to your benefit and allows you to renege on a loan obligation life is good. We regular citizens of Michigan only wish we could get the same treatment as the politically connected in regard to our loan obligations!

Corruption Surrounds Lansing Politicians

Will it ever end? We have laws made that relieves the MIGOP chairman’s brother of a loan obligation now we have state Treasurer Andy Dillon’s (D) communications director Terry Stanton’s wife involved in fraudulent unemployment insurance benefits she fraudulently received totaling about $7,500.

American Tax Dollars, Bailouts, JP Morgan Investigation and Richardville

JP Morgan & RichardvilleExcuse me but didn’t “We the Taxpayer’s” bailout out these to big to fail Bankster’s back in 2008? A Senate panel has issued a scathing assessment of JP Morgan’s $6.2 billion trading loss last year.

JP Morgan Bank of New York contributed $808,799 to the Obama campaign in the last election cycle alone. So this begs the question why would this same bank make significant campaign donations to Michigan Republican State Senate Majority leader Randy Richardville? Hmmm…

The investigation found that bank executives ignored growing risks and hid losses from investors and federal regulators. Missing from this report was the “millions” JP Morgan has contributed to various politicians since the bailouts in 2008. Essentially “your” tax dollars went to politicians you didn’t necessarily support.

In a recent article Senator Richardville was quoted as saying he will travel to Washington to talk to leaders about possibly running for the US Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Democrat Senator Carl Levin here in Michigan. Is it a coincidence that Levin is the chairman of the committee that is investigating the bailed out JP Morgan? Again Hmmm…

The big shooters at JP Morgan would love to have a guy such as Richardville knowing full well that he would be their go to guy just like the Democrat heavy hitters realized with the Movie Producer and Film Studio subsides here in Michigan. Richardville has not only been a friend to the Democrats and “unions” but big corporation interest as well!

It’s a crime if you are an athlete lying about using steroids. But if you are a Billionaire or Corporation that donates to politicians campaigns that’s a different story. Gutless politicians look the other way when it means money for re-election. A career self serving opportunist such as Richardville would be the kind of guy that JP Morgan would love to have on their team.

“Democrats Purge Moderates, Republicans Purge Conservatives”

Agema & Amash

With the recent attack from the MIGOP chairman Bobby Schostak supporter’s are they out to purge the Party of it’s Conservative base? It would appear so! This isn’t the first time in recent memory that the MIGOP has tried to “purge” the Party of one of the more Conservative Representatives.

In the re-districting process they re-districted Justin Amash into a more Democrat district hoping that he would be defeated. The way I see it is that the MIGOP is in serious disarray within it’s leadership. We have a chairman in Bobby Schostak who made several campaign contributions to the Democrats and also appears to condone the recent attacks on Dave Agema.

The MIGOP has a Senate Majority leader that continues to pursue and promote the “failed” Granholm Democrat administration agenda. The Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville even went so far as to bring in former Granholm Staff Member Amber McCann into the role of his press secretary.

With all the shenanigans that have been perpetrated by the MIGOP in recent years and the list is long what does this say about the MIGOP? It tells me that it has been infiltrated by Democrats and has become nothing more than the flip side of the same coin.

In Washington, liberal Senator’s John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) met privately with President Barack Obama and praised his efforts for “comprehensive” immigration reform.

Republicans are preparing for a major debate on immigration reform by purging the party’s conservatives, casting opponents of bipartisan legislative efforts as bigots who will doom the party to ongoing electoral failure.

The old Republican establishment is trying it’s best to marginalize and purge the grass roots conservative voices using their minions as tools. If they think this strategy will work they are in for a huge surprise come 2014 and you can take that the Banksters along with their big donors.
